• S.T. Dupont D128/00 vintage sunglasses, a luxurious German-made design combining a silver-tone metal frame with distinctive blue acetate and enamel detailing. New old stock, unworn and preserved for decades, manufactured by Estede in the late 1990s. The D128/00 has a broad rectangular shape with a strong double brow bar, giving the frame a structured appearance while retaining the refined detailing associated with vintage S.T. Dupont eyewear. The silver-tone metal front is contrasted by rich blue acetate covers along the temples, complemented by matching blue enamel detailing at the sides. These subtle flashes of colour give the frame considerably more character than a conventional metal aviator or rectangular sunglass. The frame is 23-carat gold plated, demonstrating the level of finish found across S.T. Dupont's luxury vintage eyewear. Grey lenses complete the design, providing 100% UV protection and featuring the S.T Dupont emblem on the left lens. The double bridge and relatively shallow rectangular lenses give it a s strong masculine profile with a distinctly late-20th-century luxury aesthetic. Vintage S.T. Dupont eyewear received renewed attention after Brad Pitt wore the brand's D002 sunglasses as Sonny Hayes in the F1 movie. Retro Spectacle supplied those vintage D002 sunglasses directly to the film's costume department, making S.T. Dupont a particularly important part of our vintage eyewear collection. The D128/00 is a different model, but shares the high-quality construction and distinctive detailing that make original S.T. Dupont eyewear increasingly sought after.
