• A one-off limited-edition version of the iconic Preciosa 940 Goliath, finished in vivid translucent cobalt blue acetate with custom blue-to-peach graduated sunglass lenses.

  The saturated blue acetate already gives the oversized 940 a striking appearance, but the bespoke lenses make this pair particularly distinctive. The tint graduates from cool blue into a softer peach tone, creating an unusual contrast with the frame while providing 100% UV protection. Originally designed in Holland in the 1970s, the Preciosa 940 became known in America as the Goliath and went on to develop a cult following through film, music and hip-hop culture. The design is particularly famous for its association with Robert De Niro as Sam "Ace" Rothstein in Casino (1995) and has also been linked with Run-DMC. This blue edition takes the unmistakable square Goliath silhouette in a much more colourful direction. The translucent cobalt acetate catches the light around the deeper sections of the frame, while the custom graduated lenses turn it into a genuinely individual pair of oversized sunglasses.  This is a current-production Preciosa 940, made in the Netherlands by Frame Holland, and this particular blue colour way is exceptionally limited as only one was manufactured. The Preciosa 940 is a genuinely large frame and is designed to look deliberately oversized. Please check the measurements carefully before ordering.
