Hadley 95 Anne Boleyn Vintage Glasses
by Hadley-
A striking example of mid-century British eyewear, the Hadley No. 95 features a dramatically upswept shape with sculpted dark brown acetate brows and contrasting gold-tone metal eye rims. Sometimes referred to as the "Anne Boleyn" or "Boleyn" shape, its pronounced upward sweep gives the frame a distinctive silhouette with strong 1950s and 1960s character. The combination of rich brown acetate and fine metal detailing makes it particularly unusual. The temples are tiered starting high at the front and lowering towards the ears. The frame was manufactured by The Hadley Company, the historic British spectacle maker whose principal factory stood on Portsmouth Road on the border of Thames Ditton and Surbiton. New unused vintage stock, preserved for decades, in superb vintage condition. An excellent choice for someone who wants an unmistakably vintage look, with the sharply upswept brow, which creates a dramatic look, but in a small/petite size.Ā
All spectacles supplied with a brand new spectacle case and a Retro Spectacle microfibre cleaning cloth.
