• Cazal 868 680 vintage sunglasses, an exceptionally rare original design from the late 1980s, made in West Germany. This example is new old stock and unworn, making it an especially desirable find for collectors of original vintage Cazal eyewear. The 868 os a striking example of the unconventional eyewear design that made Cazal one of the most distinctive names of the period. Created during the era of Cazal founder and designer Cari Zalloni, the frame combines strong geometric proportions with intricate detailing and the unmistakable architectural styling associated with original vintage Cazal. Colour 680 combines grey and black with contrasting gold-tone detailing, creating a sophisticated colourway that still allows the unusual constriction of the 868 to take centre stage. The frame has a broad, angular shape with a 58mm lens width and relatively narrow 13mm bridge. Signature Cazal branding appears across the frame, while the original grey graduated lenses complement the colourway and provide 100% UV protection. Importantly, this is an original West German Cazal 868, produced before German reunification rather than a later interpretation of the design. Combined with its new old stock condition, exact model and colour code, this makes it an unusual opportunity to acquire an original example that has remained unworn. Ideal for a Cazal collector or anyone looking for bold, original late-1080s designer sunglasses.
